However, this course continued to provide much practice for speaking skills. Particularly, JAPN 301 gave me considerably more opportunities to practice with native Japanese speakers through online conversations and an interview with a Japanese exchange student on campus. For one of the online conversations, my classmate and I had to coordinate the meeting on our own. This was challenging but interesting, making me see the importance of being detail-oriented when engaging in international communication.
