Cybersecurity Internship

This course allows students to volunteer to work in an agency related to cybersecurity. Students must volunteer for 50 hours per course credit and complete course assignments.

CYSE 368 is a prerequisite for graduation from the School of Cybersecurity, B.S. Cybersecurity. This internship will mark a crucial path in my journey into Cybersecurity.

The Primary learning objectives for this internship are:

  • Understand the importance of proactive asset maintenance and learn preventive measures to mitigate system errors and optimize system performance.
  • Learning Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills: from system issues and communicating with support by actively participating in system issue resolutions. This includes identifying the root cause of problems, brainstorming potential solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Improving Communication Skills: Enhance communication skills to effectively convey technical information to different stakeholders, such as support teams, end-users, and management, to ensure clear understanding and collaboration in resolving system issues.
  • Regulating System Access and Managing User Permissions: Learn how to effectively manage system access by assigning appropriate access levels to associates and ensuring that they have the necessary permissions to perform their roles.
