The way hacking is glamorized in films and television often blurs reality making it hard to distinguish between what&#8217;s real and what&#8217;s fiction. These portrayals also subtly educate viewers shaping their views on cybersecurity. Sadly the media tends to oversimplify ideas portraying hacking as an easy task without any consequences. This can create misunderstandings about the seriousness and complexity of cyber threats. Furthermore depicting hackers as either heroes or villains perpetuates stereotypes hiding the reasons behind cyber attacks. As media consumers, it&#8217;s important to analyze these portrayals understanding their entertainment value while also acknowledging their impact on our perceptions.
