I am interested in cybersecurity technology because of the many reasons why it is needed and how it stays relevant, and for good reason. Before cybersecurity, the technology plane can sometimes and more often be a scary place where one false click on a web site or browser can upload a virus or lead to someone on the other side being able to take your confidential information. With cybersecurity technology safety and security come easier. From switching from computer science to cybersecurity the knowledge of computers was always present. With knowledge of computers, coding, and web sites and what goes into them, the interest in security for them lead me to pick up cybersecurity, gathering knowledge about cybersecurity technology. It also interests me that within this major/field I can learn how to prevent and stop these unknown attacks from happening. As the everyday person does not have the knowledge to know when or how they will get attacked or how to stop it, its interreges me to find out how these attacks happen, the many forms they may take, and eventually how to stop them. Which sounds like a large task but that is only one major aspect of cybersecurity technology that I could learn which piques my interest and keeps me wanting to learn more each day about cybersecurity technology. With possibilities of working with the government, with the FBI or the CIA also brings curiosity. With being new to cybersecurity technology there are many more avenues and tools that I look forward to learning about in the future, learning how they contribute to cybersecurity technology, why are they used, and in what situations, and why we need it. The field of cybersecurity technology is very engaging with various career paths and information to learn which all capture my fascination.
