There are many issues with storing individuals’ data but the four I found were security, confidentiality, inaccuracies, and Documentation. To start off, one of the issues would be security. I picked security because of the point of individuals privacy as many things go into the category of individual privacy such as credit cards, social security, jobs, backgrounds, family and much more. As today’s world there many ways to hack and reveal or steal someone’s personal information which could be detrimental in the wrong hands, even though there are many plans, ways and strategies to counteract this. These counter attacks can only do so much depending on the situation. The second of the four is confidentiality I believe could cause issues because as the reasons for the security more so as if there are weak spots of vulnerabilities in the systems that hold these private information giving hackers or unsuspected attackers an increased chance of success in stealing important information during their cyber-attacks. The third issue would be inaccuracy, because if things aren’t accurate it could lead to misleading information. Especially today when the news is accessibly everywhere and is watched by millions the inaccuracy in anything could be very bad, plus misleading information on an induvial could part unneeded stress and harm toward that person, with that, the other two issues already mention also tie into this issues as well, as inaccuracy could lead to cyber-attacks as a hacker could attack an individual because of misleading information. The last one is documentation as this is an ethical issue because too much information can sometimes be bad for an individual as an answer to possibly revealing for confidential question may lead to terrible outcomes, as documentation should be the purpose to keep individuals safe and private, and used to only help an individual.
