There are many ways to tell if your computer is safe. The main way is making sure your computer has its security system enabled more specially its firewall as this is a huge defended as viruses or cyber-attacks or shield your computer that can hurt your computer, it is also good to download good anti-virus software as well. Another way is to make sure you keep your computer up to date as outdated computers can run into many problems and in some cases become easy targets for hackers as their outdated software can be vulnerable to many attacks rather than an up-to-date software this includes firewall software’s and anti-virus software’s. Then there are the smaller options, but they still have an enormous impact. As in making sure you have a strong password, making sure it is complex, as security is critical and a password that is not easy to recognize is the key to making sure your computer is safe. Another way is to check what you download and what site you download them from as questionable sites and downloads could mess up your computer or lead to cyber-attacks. Next would make sure your personal information is safe and you do not give out personal information to anyone. With this making sure when you receive anything from a sender making sure it is safe for your computer like emails, pdfs, and messages. It is also recommended to not trust all public Wi-Fi as data and be easily stolen as, these Wi-Fi sources are not catered to protecting data on devices and especially computers. It’s also good to know what external devices you put into your computer as these can put malicious and unwanted things on your computer. Then finally finding solutions to problems before they become bigger problems or problems that are not fixable like removing downloads or software can sometimes help fix your computer if problems arrive.
