Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country
The United States is highly ranked in what are cyber capabilities are, however, China is catching up in rank. Like other countries we are vulnerable for cyberattacks and there are cyber risks that are associated with that. One of the more recent events that is occurring is the nation-wide labor shortage, because of this occurrence staffing for cybersecurity jobs has been a challenge into itself. Legislation has passed a bill that would provide funding and is taking measures to try to resolve the staffing issues, but until then that is putting the United States at risk because those important cybersecurity positions are not filled. This could put the United States at risk for many cyber risks and even warfare. Other cyber include malware attack, losing data and data breeches. Data breeches are increasing each year and are not going away any time soon. Companies are under reporting breeches which in turn effects funding that is delegated for these important cybersecurity program. Although China has made leaps and bounds in their cyber capabilities, they have a number of cyber risks. China’s fast progression in technology such as robots has put caused cyber security risks. The reason being they are not focusing on protecting the content, they are focusing on advancing the technology itself. This has become an issue so much, so the actual consumers are accepting security breeches as a new normal. China needs to get onboard and not only invest in technology but invest on the cybersecurity to help protect the technology. United States and China face the issues that cyber risks such as security breeches are leaking important personal information. This puts both countries at risk for many issues that could lead to full on warfare. Both countries need to take the necessary precautions before something major and irreversible occurs.
