  • Education (what degrees or certifications they have): registered nurse, associates degree in nursing and bachelor, masters of science in nursing with emphasis on education, transition doctoral candidate.

  • In your interview you will need to ask the following questions:
    • What inspired him/her to get into that field: very sick as a child prematurely, spent a lot of time in hospital, wanted to be able to do what people could do for her, God called her to do this job. 
    • What was his/her path to his/her current job: Both children went to school, friends with them at school, and friend thought this would be a good job for her. 
    • Basic roles and responsibilities: primary didactic constructor, clinical instructor, BLS instructor, responsible for info that goes to the board regarding the students. 
    • His/her favorite (or most rewarding) aspect about the job: Having former students come talk to classes, seeing students that succeed. 
    • What is the most surprising aspect of their career: going back to get a doctorate, not interested in furthering their education. 
    • What is the most challenging aspect of their career: learning separation, losing a patient can’t be devastating. 
    • Advice he/she would give to someone getting into the health field: “Make sure you’re getting in for the right reasons, you have to love this job. You have to be called to do what you are doing.”
