I decided to pursue the profession of speech-language pathology for a variety of purposes. I am an empathetic individual who would thrive emotionally in the one-on-one setting offered by the profession. I am a patient person who would willingly encourage the fulfillment of both minor and major goals among my clients. I have realized my innate compassion for children with communication challenges through both personal life events and volunteer opportunities. I have been personally characterized as an introvert who sometimes struggles to communicate with confidence, allowing me to connect closely with the individuals in need of my speech and language assistance. Each of these elements aligns directly with the role that is meant to be played by a successful speech-language pathologist, which is why I am so thankful to have come across this amazing professional field.
