Module 15

How should markets, businesses, groups, and individuals be regulated or limited differently in the face of diminishing state power and the increasing intelligence and networking of the material world?

They should be regulated in almost the same way. Businesses and markets should have a #1 priority to protect their customer or users credentials and private sensitive information. Individuals and groups should also have to pass a cyber safety class while in school as well as jobs that use technology. They should have some type of training or seminar or webinar of how to be safe in the workplace and outside of the workplace as people are the main cause of beaches and data entries. This can help reduce the amount of phishing breaches in the country that is the most used method to cause malicious intent by linking a unsecured link that may cause viruses to attack your computer or device. Companies should also not be allowed to sell user information or any information from that user unless the individual signs up for it. Often they will have an option to opt out but it is in very small letters or somewhere on the page that is hard to find and sometimes they do not ask and sell the information to other companies. Customers should also be allowed to ask the company to remove any information they have on them if they do not use them anymore so that no information has a risk to be leaked. Businesses and individuals should practice having the most updated system software as they should be required to have an update every month. Money hacked and taken by hackers should be insured by the FIDC especially from businesses if the customers money is lost or in someway taken the company should be able to replace that money no matter what and take responsibility for letting it happen. If apple is hacked and users card information is compromised and used apple should be able to restore all the lost money.
