Sports Media Diet
When it comes to receiving info on the world of sports, I’ve relied on multiple outlets to keep me up to date.
Games/Schedules:
- TV
- Streaming Sites
- Bleacher Report
Highlights/Headlines:
- X
Analysis:
- YouTube
- Podcasts
I follow various analysts and former/current athletes on these sites to get the latest news:
Basketball:
- Kenny Beecham
- JJ Redick
- Paul George
- Thinking Basketball
Football:
- Pat McAfee
- Jason & Travis Kelce
MMA:
- Chael Sonnen
- MMA Junkie
5 years ago, apart from games on TV, Bleacher Report and Instagram were my only sources for updates. Since then I’ve learned the names of countless athletes, commentators, reporters, referees, talk show hosts, and media personalities in order to keep info fresh.
For the next 5 years, my hope is that I get to engage with the constant talk that happens in sports. With a goal of walking in a professional front office, I want to be directly involved the discussions that change the game.
If I held a magic wand and waved it over the community of sports discourse, I would guarantee the even distribution of recognition to all professional athletes in all sports.
