End of the Semester Reflection

  1. I expected college to be really boring because of Covid-19. I wish before I came on campus I knew how to budget and save money. If I did then I would have had more money in my pocket for off campus food and other activities. I have found that doing my work in the Webb Center with my
music blasting in my headphones helped me throughout the semester. Procrastination is the worst thing I have delt with this semester. I learned how to spread out my homework schedule, so I am not trying to cram eight different homework assignments in one night.
  2. I spend twice as much time studying for the classes that require a final exam. The classes that do not have final exams, I spend less time studying for them. At the beginning of the semester, I spent 2-3 hours studying per class. My study habits were good and consistent when I was on campus, but as soon as I came home, I have not had the motivation to do my work. I am so used to doing my work in the Webb that it feels weird not doing my work there. I use the same studying technique for every class is have. Reviewing my notes and making study guides are two techniques I use to study for my classes.
  3. I was not in HIST 104H with Professor White, but from my Sociology, Chemistry, and Health 101 class, I have learned the basic variations I will need in my major if I choose to proceed. Sociology taught me about how and why people in society act the way thy do. While in intro to health
professions, I learned how to find the different resources on campus, what different health majors are all about, and how to evaluate my life and studying habits. I can honestly say I did not go to many of the health chats. But the ones I did go to were highly informative. Now looking back, I wish I went to more of them so I can have ideas about different health majors I might think about doing. The one health chat I can remember I went to is the physical therapy/ athletic trainer chat.
It taught me that both of those majors are not a part of the same program and I will need to choose which one I want to do. They also taught me about the different branches that come out from the physical therapy major.
