Explain how the Principles of Science Relate to Cybersecurity

Relativism applies to cybersecurity due to the giant impact of cyber technology in our digital age. We can see how the more technology we as a society obtain the more cybercrime will come in a supply and demand type relationship. Objectivity has a relation to cybersecurity due the massive number of ethical issues that have arisen due to the growth of technology and digitalization of information. Everyone has opinion on it and these are not black and white issues so there needs to be a way to prove things. Parsimony is the general rule of practice that scientists should keep their explanation as simple as possible. This comes into play because human behavior has a big impact on cybersecurity so there must it is impossible to explain or find all things that are involved in the explanation of behavior. Empiricism may seem non-applicable due to the variety of opinions that can arise when trying to explain behavior. We must be able to physically see it and not rely on opinions. Ethical neutrality also applies here because everyone scientists have to protect everyone involved in their experiments and adhere to ethical standards. Determinism comes into play because their is usually something that led to a cyber incident whether that be a free cookie email or a free download for a videogame.
