Computers have been evolving and advancing at a rapid pace over the years. It’s done a lot to help the world be safer over time, but at the same time, it has also been used in ways that make things less safe. Just like there’s a way to use computers to your benefit, there will always be people who take advantage of the possibilities a computer is capable of and use it for the wrong reasons. Computers have made the world safer in many ways due to how much technology is incorporated into daily life. Computers brought the world a new way of making transportation, security, and education safer. Computers and modern-day technology made transportation for people safer and more accessible, so they won’t have to deal with unsafe locations or obstacles on their daily commute or travels. Computers have also made keeping your personal life and private information safer by their ease of uploading and securing the files you deem important. Though computers have positively impacted the world with their many contributions, it has also been used in problematic ways as well. For example, computers can be used to corrupt or steal the personal or private information you value by tampering with its inner workings or using the software provided in ways not intended. People can use computers to tamper with daily transportation or falsify information to get passed the technology’s information checkpoints and such. Computers can also be taken advantage of because of how much people trust them. People can use apps like Uber and Lyft to take advantage of people who are less fortunate and could be put in uncomfortable or even dangerous situations. Though there are many upsides and downsides to the computers and technology we use, we should feel comfortable enough to try and use them to make life safer for us. Every year technology advances, and there will be new ways to combat the obstacles that people who negatively use computers.
