Social entrepreneurship is “a learning process by design,” and “it’s the use of new approaches to solve old social problems.” Social entrepreneurship involves design thinking; they have a lot of the same principles. According to an article called “What is Social Entrepreneurship?”, social entrepreneurship is a new method to solving social issues in today’s society. Over the years, new issues have rose and some issues have needed new approaches to the way they are handling current issues. For example, poverty is an that affects society. Recently, there has been an entrepreneurial approach to handling poverty. In order for social entrepreneurs to be successful with their new approach to poverty, they had to take away the line that separated business and charity. Taking that line away has caused entrepreneurs to tackle on new business models and “innovate new distribution and replication methods.” I think that social entrepreneurship is a great way of taking on relevant issues in todays society. I think so because a lot of the issues that come about affects people in tremendous ways; therefore, it is only appropriate to add a more social aspect to entrepreneurship so problems can be better addressed.
