Cookie Text Cookie cakes is a baking business by Jeanna Fiocca. She says she likes to treat every order like it is the only order of the day. I like that she makes sure that the quality of her products is always meeting a certain standard. In entrepreneurship, I think it is important to keep products of high quality so that business is not lost. As mentioned in Fiocca’s video, one of the key things to keeping business is consistency and keeping everything the same. Fiocca mentions where her work ethic comes from. She said she had a lot of peers and siblings had to grow up early. She says there were some tragedies in her life that caused her to have a different perspective. Fiocca lost some important people in her life and realized that she’s on her own and has to get things done. She said she worked many different positions and jobs to get to where she is today. She has worked positions from being a lifeguard to fishing. Fiocca says that people can learn things from any job that they have. For example, she says she learned the importance of sanitation form her fishing job and was able to apply the skill to Cookie Text Cookie Cakes. While watching Fiocca’s presentation, it is easily very motivational. She explains her perspective on life and how she endured challenges, but still learned from them. Fiocca reached a point where she wanted to do something that made money for her family; because her many jobs weren’t necessarily making her money. She stumbled into baking cakes with her stepdaughter that later on turned into her passion. I think that her story is a story that a lot of entrepreneurs go through. From watching the presentation, she taught me that it is ok to not know what you’re going to do and that it is ok to face challenges. When it comes to entrepreneurship having a strong work ethic and determination is necessary. Not having these skills could cause the business to fail. A strong work ethic could really take a business somewhere in entrepreneurship.
