Why I took Spanish
As an education major, I wanted to create an opportunity where I could converse with students who are ESL/ELL in my classroom. Spanish is a common language that is heard amongst the Virginia Beach population. So, I strived to learn some Spanish to create a connection with those students who may feel a bit left out while at school. As a teacher, I want to create an environment that supports all cultures, languages, and traditions from around the globe!
