Journal #6: Can you spot three fake websites and compare the three fake websites to three real websites, plus showcase what makes the fake websites fake?

The first thing into spotting a fake website is the domain name, the domain name could look very similar but be different for example Bank of America which is an American bank, instead of just writing BankofAmerica.com they could put BankoffAmerica.com, the scammer added a “F” in hopes that the victim will not notice. Secondly, I personally only visit websites that have a padlock, which means the website is safe, if the website doesn’t have this I assume that it is not safe to enter and it could potentially hack into your personal information on your computer. Lastly simply look at the design of the page if it seems odd, bad spelling, low quality pictures, then I would think twice about using that website. And also, a very important feature is if they don’t have a contact page I would think that is it really weird personally that if you use the website you will not be able to contact anyone if anything went wrong that is a major red flag to me.
