My name is Arlandrea Hairston, and I am originally from a small country town located in the lovely state of Virginia. Despite its miniscule coverage, and lack of attractions it is a country town that I grew to love.\u00a0However, I currently reside in, North Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My previous major that I have an associate degree in was Information Technology. However, because I am seeking to learn something more challenging and that is forever evolving, I decided to switch to Cyber Security to pursue my BS. I am in my 2nd year of college and looking forward to the challenges that I may face to achieve my degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At my current job, I am currently a Master Sergeant (MSgt) in Radar Airfield and Weather Systems for the Air Force. My goals are to make it to Chief Master Sergeant and to continue to be a mentor to my subordinates. Although Cyber Security is different from my career field, the Air Force is always looking for the most secure way to communicate. I anticipate that the knowledge that I gain from this path will further enhance my skillset to provide incite or suggestions on how to improve overall secure communications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
My hobbies, although I don’t get to do them as often as I would like to, are singing and making digital music. My first love for music came from my families Christian singing group back in the 90’s and then from my parents’ playing instruments in the church while my sister and I sang in the choir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
