                How the Media Influences our Understanding about Cybersecurity
The 25-minute video from The Insider featuring Hacker Keren Elazari gives real perspective and context to our hacking beliefs. I like how Elazari analyzes each scene and explains each hack and then confirms if said hack is real or not. When you factor in media, cybersecurity, and hacking, without context it leaves your mind to wander and build endless scenarios, and possibilities which are probably usually negative. In real life any individual with little knowledge in the tech field can spot errors in media hacks and tell if it’s real or not, like for example Elazari brought up a good point about how regular iP addresses don’t go past “255” unlike shown in the scene. I think media hacks are just made to look cool rather than showing all the planning, setting up, timing, and stressing that actually goes into Cybersecurity.
