I completed my Internship at Kryptos4 in Newport News, VA. I operated under the role of a Cyber Engineer and was supervised by Brandon Alexander, MS, BHT, QMHP, NCPT-IV, CPhT(T), CKM | LinkedIn<\/a> who is the president of K4. I completed a full engineering workflow which focused on ASTERIX CAT034 radar system status messages and secure Cross Domain Solutions. Researched and synthesized CDS governance frameworks such as: DoDI 8540.01, ICD\u2011503, NIST SP 800\u201153 and applied them to real PCAP data by extracting, decoding, and validating CAT034 messages, built a CDS\u2011grade validation and policy pipeline including packet inspection, audit logging, conditional rules, and releasability decisions, produced workflow diagrams, a releasability matrix, and a technical publication demonstrating secure, standards\u2011compliant radar data processing, and finally conducted a security test for fuzz testing, malformed message injection, and negative testing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the Technical Publication produced by our team during the internship at K4. It is a white paper that provides a consolidated technical analysis of secure data movement across operational and classified environments, integrating Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) architecture with ASTERIX CAT034 and CAT048 surveillance data standards. The work examines how CDS technologies enable assured, policy enforced information transfer while maintaining system integrity, confidentiality, and mission assurance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
