A Rogerian Argument is an argument where the reader gets to form their own opinion on a certain topic based on the facts that the writer gives them. The point of a Rogerian Argument is not to argue, but to be completely neutral. If the writer seems persuasive or biased in any way, then they are not writing the paper correctly. The introduction gives the reader facts to consider themselves, making sure that the thesis is a question showing both sides in order to get them thinking.  The body paragraphs should talk about both sides equally, instead of just focusing on one more than the other. When the writer makes their conclusion, they compromise both sides.

Writing this paper has helped expand my knowledge on being open-minded about things. As a person in the Criminal Justice field, it is important to be open to all options, especially in an investigation. Investigations require you to be open-minded and to consider all options. If you already have a thought in your head that cannot be changed in an open investigation, you could be betting on the wrong thing.
