Cybersecurity plays an important role in everyone’s daily life. As long as technology is around and you’re using it, it’s going to affect you. I am interested in cybersecurity technology because of the number of careers that are available throughout the cybersecurity field. In the U.S., there are over one million jobs available and the number just keeps increasing as time goes on. Cyber security jobs are in high demand and there are plenty of opportunities for career advancement. Two of its advantages for a strong career are low to none unemployment and a good number of compensation. Not to mention, since cybersecurity is a rapidly evolving field, you will constantly be learning and gaining new abilities. Both career path and learning chances provide a lot of room for advancement. The skills I gain from learning cybersecurity technology will allow me to apply them to any industry sector no matter where I travel. Another reason why I am interested in cybersecurity is because of how much the work makes a difference in this world. Every element of our lives could be badly impacted by the ongoing, incredibly challenging attacks on our economy that are recognized as cybersecurity threats. Last year, there were over four thousand publicly reported data breaches, resulting in the exposure of almost twenty two billion records. With that being said, I want to be a part of that important change in the world and be able to solve that problem and help others. Innocent people should not have to worry about being exposed by someone for no reason at all. Overall, throughout the internet world, cybersecurity is crucial to maintaining both online safety and the protection of the vital infrastructure that supports our daily life, such as power systems, transportation networks, and financial institutions. Which I would love to be a part of.
