In today’s society, computers play a major role in almost every aspect of our daily lives. Overall, I think computers have improved the safety and comfort of our society. Computers have numerous benefits, and they have helped us improve the world in various ways. However, not everything about computers is positive; there are a lot of drawbacks as well. Computers have had a huge influence on our educational system and how we are able to use the internet to get information. For instance, it isn’t convenient for me to physically attend class, so I utilize the internet to attend and complete my classes online. People from all around the world now have access to other people and places that wouldn’t be possible without computers. Our methods of communication have been improved by computers and technology. We now have a wide variety of new electronic communication methods, including social networking, voicemails, emails, and even video conferencing. As a result, we are able to deliver information at an instant. In order to maintain our connections, communication is essential. With all the ‘good’ of computers, there are some bad as well. A significant portion of crime is related to technology. Cybercrime, computer crime, Internet crime, and cybersecurity are all a part of what makes the world less safe. While having access to everything online offers us an unmatched degree of ease, it has also left us open to danger. Every action we do online is monitored, and every place we go, we leave a digital trail. This is a fact that fraudsters and hackers work hard to take advantage of. Of course, just like with everything else, technology has given us the means to safeguard our safety as our lives move online.
