I am a Lieutenant with the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Prisons and work in the administrative Office. As the Administrative Lieutenant, I maintain a staff database archiving correctional workers’ information. Personal information such as performance evaluations, staff misconduct records, and workplace injury documentation is part of the database I have created and maintained without a security breach.
I have extensive experience with all Microsoft Office platforms, such as Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. I also maintain a workgroup on Microsoft Teams and Outlook for Administrative Lieutenant information between the Correctional services department and executive staff. I serve as the tactical leader for the disturbance control team at my home institution. My role as tactical team leader is to instruct and inform line staff on mission readiness and staff safety procedures in the event of a significant incident.
I have assisted in writing emergency plans for the Federal Corrections Complex in Petersburg, Virginia. I have provided recommendations to executive staff as part of after action review committee for significant incidents. During major incidents, I have prepared Tactical Operations Orders and Blue Prints to assist the Executive team in the command center during mock exercises and actual emergencies. I have collaborated with outside law enforcement agencies on the community relations board. I served as the liaison representing the Federal Bureau of Prisons for the unites states national emergency support function 13 governing federal law enforcement. ESF-13 is called upon to assist Federal Emergency Management Agency during natural disasters. I maintain all logistical and tactical equipment for ESF-13, working as the ground support and supply chain leader and managing logistics for the emergency service units conducting rescue missions. I have maintained reports as the assistant emergency preparedness officer, such as the emergency preparedness logistical support list. I teach emergency preparedness, incident management, use of force, security procedures, and escort procedures during Institutional familiarization and Annual Refresher Training.
