Artifact one 

I chose artifact three because I was interested to see how my parents’ values align with my current values. I like to think of my parents as like-minded people, and I’m always interested in hearing what they have to say. They do  however have strong beliefs- that is evident some of their opinions are a result of growing up in the Caribbean- culture. I enjoyed answering each question and reflecting. When answering a few of the questions they didn’t really apply to either of my parents’ values, however the majority of the time our values were similar. 

This assignment allowed me to explore the topic of enculturation a bit further by deep-diving into personal experiences that would have shaped my outlooks on life. For instance, seeing the interactions between my parents and those around them played a core-role in how I respond to others . My parents were big on effective communication, learning from your mistakes, and strongly believed in the balance of life. This influenced a few of the answer choices during the assignment.  The image I selected is a picture of my family and I
