Hola! My name is Alexis Holmes and I am a senior at Old Dominion University with a major is Sociology. Majoring in Sociology has given me a broader view of society, human social behavior and ways I can positively serve my community.

I have served in the US Army for 9 years as a Human Resource Specialist. In these years, I have achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, appointed the duty of Community Service Chairperson for my unit, and have been deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

My goals include graduating in the spring and getting out of the military and creating a nonprofit organization offering housing and other services to homeless veterans.
