“The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?”—J.B. Priestley

The New Year in Virginia started with a massive snowstorm that covered the Norfolk area with almost a foot of snow. Due to these conditions, the university decided to close, just as we had begun classes for the spring semester. Therefore, I got a chance to catch up on some reading, clean the house and watch my dog frolic in the snow, but I did not get much of a chance to work on processing the Blank Collection. Just as we finally returned to work after the MLK holiday, ODU issued another closure because of impending snowfall. I hope that the winter storms are now behind us and I can dive back into work!

On that note, here is the most recent score I have begun to process:

Three Tableaux for Small Orchestra (Composer’s Copy)

And…a video of a very cute dog frolicking in the snow!
