Although my major does not require much in terms of writing capability, it is still a necessity. In the future, most people will have to write letters, take notes, or write research papers. If it is not clear, the message will be lost. My goal is to effectively write a clear thesis in my papers and be able to have a detailed introduction that will not confuse my audience. I want my essays to flow from one point to the next and not run off with unrelated topics within my paper. My greatest weakness is putting too many commas and incorrectly putting random semicolons in certain places. Also, I spend too much time writing. I believe that this class will improve my writing skills.
