Quarantine
Honestly, I never imagined that my first year as a college student would end up being quarantined from an air borne disease. For the past few months my parents were scared that the virus would end up happen in the United States because they knew that there was not a cure for it, and it could infect anybody. My parents and I were worried because they are considered as essential workers, and if they were exposed to it, I would most likely be in the hospital due to my weak immune system. Since Old Dominion has been closed, I have been quarantining myself and working on projects and assignments for my classes. It has been a process since I am not used to having classes remotely. To keep up my morale, I have been video chatting with my friends and family. We often talk about college or how working remotely from home is difficult. It made me appreciate the simpler things more such as going to the park or visiting family members. I cannot wait until quarantine is over.
