The major I am pursuing is nursing. I chose this major because I love helping people, and I want to continue helping people my whole life. The medical field has always interested me as well. I have good communication skills, decision making skills, and teamork skills. These skills, along with paying close attention to details, are very important for a nursing career. Once I earn my degree, I want to work at a 9-5 office job or in a hospital as a pediatric nurse. Once I get some experience working in the nursing field, I want to become a forensic nurse. As of right now, I do not have any experience in nursing. However, I am going to look for internships and shadowing opportunities in order to get a feel for what the career is like. Along with my major, I also plan on pursing a minor in criminal justice. If I go along with my goal of becoming a forensic nurse, a minor in criminial justice will be very beneficial.
