Cybersecurity is a major that deals heavily with the protection of information but there are many other majors provided that are related and similar to cybersecurity. When looking at other majors that are related to Cybersecurity the first one to come to mind is Database management or Information Systems and Technology, this major deals with implementing data, or information, into another information system, this is related to Cybersecurity because once this data is implemented there needs to be a way to protect it from coming threats. The next major that comes to mind is Computer Science, this deals more with the computing part of things but it also goes into depth about systems, networks and databases as well. This is relevant to cybersecurity because they both coexist in the same environment. The next major that I believe is in relation to Cybersecurity would be Software engineering, this course deals with designing, analyzing and maintain software. Cybersecurity is related to this major simply because they are both dealing heavily with software, just one is building it up and the other is protecting it once it has been done. Lastly I think that Criminal justice is related to Cybersecurity, although this one could be viewed as a bit of a stretch I would disagree because criminal justice is delivering justice to people who have committed a crime and performing acts of cyber terrorist is a crime and needs to be dealt with. These four majors all deal with Cybersecurity in their own way specific to that field, cybersecurity is a very broad branch of careers and fields. All these majors come together in some form or another and they all coexist because without one the other could not perform what is needed, they are all in the same family of careers and will deal with each other frequently all serving the publics need for software and information.
