Cyber technology is a double edged sword, as much as it aids people and businesses if used in the wrong way it can be a dangerous weapon that can cause a lot of damage within the infrastructure of these places that rely on it for good. There are a lot of opportunities that open up for deviant behavior due to cyber technology. This means that because of the online nature of cybertechnology it allows for more people to act in a way that is bad and harmful to the business or company. The greatest example for this would be an employee getting fired from the company they work for then going into the computer systems which they would still have access to and basically cause havoc. This is easier for people to do now because this deviance is not a face to face act, it is behind closed doors and much harder to detect thus making it a more popular way for people to “get back at” their employers. Another way people can go about abusing cyber technology from a company perspective is they could be selling company data to an outside source, this would give the competition that the company is dealing with the upper hand and could result in a loss in money and resources. This would also be a very effective way of abusing your position in a company for personal gain at the cost of the business. All these ways people can abuse cyber technology will result in the downfall of the company with a seemingly impossible way of stopping this. I think that the only way to stop this from being a regular occurrence is to monitor the movements and actions of every employee from an online perspective. This ensures that when an employee is at work they are not doing anything deviant with the company resources or information, or if they do the company can at least track it down and make sure that this person is dealt with accordingly.
