In May 2022, I completed a project on Media and Violence in the Principles and Skills class in MPH program. The topic of media and violence is a contentious issue that has been debated and researched for many years. The relationship between media and violence is complex and multifaceted, and it is clear that media literacy and critical thinking skills are essential for navigating the complex world of media. By understanding the potential impact of media on behavior and attitudes, individuals can make informed choices about the media they consume and the messages they internalize. Further research is needed to fully understand the relationship between exposure to violent media and violent behavior.
In my Introduction to Public Health class in October 2021, I worked on a poster addressing the issue of adolescent drug abuse. This problem poses a significant public health challenge, with profound consequences for individuals, families, and communities. The poster aims to shed light on the prevalence of drug abuse among adolescents, the underlying risk factors, and the negative outcomes that can result from substance use. It also provides insights into various prevention and intervention strategies that can help combat adolescent drug abuse.
