Exploring Culture

the values and perspectives I learned that helped me understand the Spanish-speaking culture have been in the forms of internet exploration exersises and assignments. I am always open to reading but bringing myself to read about new things and new cultures is difficult sometimes so I appreciate the oppertunity to explore the internet and learn about new cultures.

Engaging in Communities

Engaging in both the immediate and global community is extremely important because as we band together, the sharing of ideas from a multitude of perspectives has the possibility of generating thoughts and inventions that can advance our societies

Learning Spanish is going to help me engage in my community more because communicating with more people means helping more people through the communication of each other’s needs and abilities.

Interpersonal Communication

The audio and speaking activities really gave this online class the ability to refine our accent as well as our writing abilities. The accent is a huge part of learning a language. The assignments that I did through zoom with my partner and with my professor helped me take the speaking component of Spanish more seriously.

Discussion boards are also a great way for students to engage with their classmates and exchange ideas and thoughts through exercises.
