ePortfolio #3: Describe four ethical issues that arise when strong electronic information about individuals.

Identity Fraud: the ethical issue with storing information in regard to identity fraud. Many people use the internet to make on-line purchases for various things. The ethical issue with making these various purchases is the option to save a card for payment on file. Sure, this seems helpful for the consumer. If an individual chooses to save their payment information for convenience for making future purchases. A hacker is always trying to gain access to sites to get into someone’s account to retrieve that saved payment information. It is not always just payment information a hacker can try to use social media site to obtain your Date of birth, Parents Names, Address, Employment, all of these things can make you a target and put individuals in danger. The dangers include kidnapping, stalking, blackmail, and etc.
Malicious Hacking: when your information is on a site like YouTube and a hacker enters your page and then using the information on your page to cause a disruption to another site. In my opinion this is frightening because you never know what a hacker or anyone will post or do when they are using your site information or credentials.
Weak Passwords: I believe that not practicing the use of a strong password on personal or business accounts can lead to issues. The issues this will cause a hacker to use brute force attacks, dictionary attacks, and other attacks to gain access to your information.
Bad Computer Habits: writing passwords down and leaving it in reach that others can see. Using common passwords like password. Not protecting files with a password. Leaving your workstation unlocked when you walk away from it. Leaving your work tokens in the computers and not locking the desktop. Multiple people logging in to the desktop with the same password.
