Article Review #1 Cyberbullying and Cyberbullicide Ideation Among Jordanian College Students

Introduction

This Article titled “Cybersecurity and Cyberbullicide Ideation Among Jordanian College Students” will cover the increase in cyberbullying and its link to suicidal thoughts, particularly among Jordanian college students. By investigating the impact of cyberbullying on mental health, the study sheds light on how digital harassment can cause severe psychological impairment, including cyberbullying ideation.

The Principles of Science

The study addresses important principles of science such as societal norms, behaviors, and mental health. Cyberbullying disrupts typical social relationships by moving harassment to social media platforms that are harder to administer. The study focuses on how social pressures in the online world affect people’s mental health, particularly minority groups such as youth who experience cyberbullying.

Research Questions and Hypotheses

The primary research question was, “How does cyberbullying affect the mental health of Jordanian college students, specifically the idea of suicide?” The hypothesis claimed a substantial positive relationship between frequent cyberbullying experiences and increased rates of suicidal ideation among affected students.

Research Methods

The study took a quantitative approach, collecting data through organized surveys provided to a broad group of Jordanian students. The surveys examined the frequency and psychological impacts of cyberbullying. Data analysis used statistical methods to determine patterns and relationships between cyberbullying encounters and mental health effects.

Data and Analysis

The study used primary data from student surveys, which was analyzed with correlation and regression models. These approaches contributed to the discovery of a solid connection between cyberbullying and higher rates of suicide ideation, particularly among those who were victims of online harassment.

Difficulties Faced by Victims of Cyber Abuse

Groups such as harassed students and those from low-income families are susceptible to becoming victims of cyberbullying. Since the internet is easily accessibility it increases these students’ vulnerability, increasing their susceptibility to mental health issues, including suicidal ideation. This study highlights the critical need for suicide prevention groups

Impact on Society

The study voices the larger discussion about the mental health implications of internet interactions. Linking cyberbullying to suicide ideation. It encourages policy changes and the creation of student communities being united. These results can impact treatments aimed at minimizing cyberbullying and enhancing mental health, especially for fragile college students.

Conclusion

The article review of  “Cybersecurity and Cyberbullicide Ideation Among Jordanian College Students” gives crucial information about the negative impacts of cyberbullying on Jordanian college students. The study focuses on suicidal thoughts from cyberbullying, promotes awareness, and finds ways to reduce online abuse which was conducted through the principle of science. The research is an important step toward better understanding and managing the mental health risks posed by the digital world.
