There have been activities that I have participated in outside of Spanish 102 class. One activity was going to Mexico for 10 days. This helped me get in person exposure to the language and culture. It was a bit hard for me to keep up with the language and I needed to ask people to speak slower and repeat themselves, but I did pick up on a good portion of what was being said. It was a great experience to be a part of their cultural traditions and see what it is like living there. Next month I will be going to Costa Rica which be another chance for me to practice the language and learn about another Hispanic country.
