I think this could inspire others to be more kind, but it also was an encouragement for me to continue this behavior as well. I learned that helping others similar to ourselves and being introduced to feelings that reduce self-focus can increase the tendency to help. I was able to apply this to something I learned in another psychology course about how the actions of your peers can influence your own, and this was definitely a positive influence for others. This assignment was personally relevant to me because I learned a lot by seeing the influence I could have outside of myself. I also may have inspired them to do kind things for others as well. I included this picture because it seemed like the perfect way to show how a small kind gesture could mean a lot to someone.

https://www.calmmoment.com/wellbeing/being-kind-to-yourself-and-others-can-improve-your-mental-health/

ATA4

This assignment and taking the styles of love questionnaire was extremely eye-opening and allowed me to clearly see how I view relationships, but also how I behave within them. I enjoyed counting up the scores and realizing which priorities were most important to me as well.

This assignment also helped me complete the blog for this week, because I think my reactions in relationships can be improved through good self-regulation and emotional intelligence. I think the content can easily be connected to this, and it made it a lot easier to understand how it can be applied to real life situations.

I chose this visual image, because this assignment made me reflect on what I want in my relationships, including making sure it is a healthy one.

https://www.verywellmind.com/all-about-healthy-relationship-4774802

ATA2

The second assignment allowed me to dig deep and explore my own identity. I was able to apply this to another class I took where we explained how our environment and who we surround ourselves with can have a big effect on who we are as people. I think it was eye-opening to realize that all parts of myself are a piece of who I am, but they are also still an accurate representation together and separately. It is just another way my actions are perceived by others and myself. I was able to look back and think about all of the different roles I fulfill and how I appear to present myself. I chose this picture, because it was when I was feeling most like myself and I was fulfilling my role as a traveler, workout partner, and friend all in one on this trip.

ATA1

This assignment allowed me to gain an understanding of heuristics and how this group of rules allow you to have a sense of judgement and make decisions efficiently. This can be applied to many things in my personal life as well. I was specifically interested in the availability heuristic because I recently flew across the country for the first time and I was very nervous about the potential dangers of flying. However, with most other modes of transportation, especially driving a car, there is a much greater chance of me getting in an accident than in a plane accident. This is an example of how heuristics can lead to incorrect inferences, but now that I see it from this point of view, my mind can be a little more at ease on planes. I included a picture of my view from the plane!

ATA5 I really enjoyed this assignment because I got to have a positive impact on others, and it also had a positive impact on me when I saw their reaction.
