I chose this image because I love the colors and how soothing it looks. It gives off a calm feeling , as I was described on the test. The test really hit the spot on the type of personality I am. I really resonated with being described as “introverted” because I already knew I was one. I can be sensitive and wear my heart on my sleeve. I am a hard worker and I always make sure my team can depend on me.

Growing up my mother would constantly encourage my sister and me to do well in school and our studies. She wanted to achieve things that she never was able to do. She was hard on us, she started on our penmanship when we were three, but she did it so we can succeed. She was happy yet sad when we both decided to enlist in the Navy.

We were able to continue our education because of the Navy after we got out. Our mom was still behind us, rooting for us to keep going. No one in my family ever graduated in college. It is a bit of a challenge because I am a single mother with two kids, working full time, and going to school full time.

However, my mother has been my rock and if I need anything she will be there. Oh not to say that my dad is not! My dad supports me 100% and encourages me to do great. I am just a lot closer to my mother.

I particularly appreciate having the Pysc syllabus with the course assignments already planned out for the semester. This will help me stay organized and up to date with my homework. I am hoping to gain insight on how cultural factors influence human behavior. I find it interesting to learn how cultural differences can show how people think, feel, and act differently. I intent to stay organized and take in all the information that I will receive from this class.
