In the example that I provided above, I along with four other classmates created an on-campus event to help stop the abuse of animals and also to help animals at the local Norfolk SPCA. The project sought out to raise funds to help the SPCA with abused and turned in animals in the shelter. We rose funds by having the dogs walk around the Kaufman mall area outside of the Webb center and we also accepted donations. The potential impact of the project was to have a big enough turnout that would provide attention and put emphasis on ending animal abuse and assisting no-kill animal shelters. I would drawback to this model in the future to assist me with how to set up an event and as well as how to create a strong needs assessment.
