Now that cyber technology has evolved, it has brought up cybercrime and similarly white-collar crime along with it. When looking at both crimes, they can be committed by the business or the individual working for that business. Interestingly enough, with white collar and cybercrime, the company might not know immediately that the crime is being committed. But both crime effects can be significant like a data breach by a hacker, and a corporation crime can affect thousands. Also, some examples of this can include computer hacking, which is when an unauthorized effort is being made to access a computer or network accounts. Malware is where the attacker tries to release viruses into a computer or network. Digital piracy is where someone tries or succeeds in stealing digital property or other forms of intellectual property, and they can sell it as well. Economic crime and online fraud are where take from people or companies through fraudulent activities using the Internet, email, or other electronic communication tools. Finally, cyberterror and warfare involve using the Internet to promote alternative beliefs, fear, or harm that is tied to political ideology.
