Like described in my other entries, there are a lot of threats that can occur to businesses and individuals. As we have seen in the last entry, the US is among the top five for these threats; however, they are also one of the most that have taken a lot of programs to combat them. The cost of these cybersecurity programs can be thousands to millions depending on how big the company is. But it is 100% worth the cost to protect from these risks. The benefits of these developments are that the vulnerability of the company and others within it are protected. These attackers can exploit the information from the company and use it illegally in many ways. These treats can and have evolved over the years, which is why it is essential to keep it up to date and secure. Also, Businesses and organizations must notify authorities when a system security breach occurs. Failure to protect data may make companies liable for lawsuits, and failing to protect to civil liberties of consumers may place companies at risk. You can tell that your computer is safe by noticing the signs of infection. These include significant slow down of computer performance, endless pop-ups, locked out of specific settings, changes in homepage, unknown programs starting, mass emails, security has been disabled.
