Using the framework is beneficial to improve the organization’s security procedures for future risks in their infrastructure by placing features to help them understand the risks and how to counter and protect them. This framework helps identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover. It is needed with cybersecurity risks, as protection of their privacy and civil liberties in the organization is important to becoming more trustworthy partners (pg. 9).

I would use this in my future workplace by following the guidelines they have set. For instance, the framework is meant to build upon an organization’s cybersecurity program, so I would find their tier based on their current profile and how they conduct their cybersecurity procedures. After determining their tier, I would create a plan to improve their security and get them to their target profile.
