Some social themes that arise in the presentation are communication, continued learning, team player, technical and social skills. In the video, the presenter states the duties of a cybersecurity analyst which includes monitoring the system, researching flaws, assisting in correcting any vulnerabilities and training or guiding users. These duties relate to the social behaviors discussed in the module. In order for a cybersecurity analyst to properly do their job they must have the technical skills to do so. Most of the duties that were stated in the video required an individual to be a team player and have communication and social skills. For example, training users and assisting in correcting vulnerabilities require an individual to be able to work with others as well as to be able to effectively communicate. The duty of researching flaws relates to continued learning due to the fact that the cybersecurity analyst must learn about newly discovered flaws and expand their knowledge regarding those flaws. Critical thinking is a social behavior that was not widely discussed in the video however, critical thinking relates to the duty of monitoring the system. An analyst must observe and analyze the information collected from the system to be able to detect any vulnerabilities or attacks. Overall, a cybersecurity analyst should be able to work well with others and be motivated to learn beyond their current level of knowledge.
