First Semester<\/span><\/p>\n

Tell us how you have grown from the beginning of the semester to now.<\/b><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve grown by learning new things like taking better notes and figuring out what learning tactics are best for me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What were your expectations for this year?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

My expectations were to try my best at everything and to try to have A\u2019s and B\u2019s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Did this semester’s experiences meet your expectations?<\/b><\/p>\n

This semester was pretty rough but I\u2019m still trying to hang on. I do think that I\u2019ll meet my requirements so that’s something to be happy about.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is something you wish you knew 14 weeks ago?\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

I wish I would have gotten myself a chemistry tutor. Having a better chemistry grade would take a lot of stress off my shoulders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Study Habits<\/span><\/p>\n

How much time do you spend studying for each class now vs. at the beginning of the semester?\u00a0 <\/b>I feel as though I spend more time studying now because of finals.<\/span><\/p>\n

How have your study habits changed?<\/b><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think my study habits have changed that much, I\u2019m still trying to find better study habits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tell us about a resource that you have used\/learned about this semester that will assist you next semester.<\/b><\/p>\n

A resource that I\u2019ve used and will continue to use is watching Youtube videos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What study habits\/techniques will you use going into next semester?<\/b><\/p>\n

I will be using a quizlet and making flashcards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Health Professions Learning Community<\/span><\/p>\n

This semester you were enrolled in at least SOC 201S, and HLTH 101. Many of you were also enrolled in CHEM 105N and CHEM 106N, and some of you were enrolled in HIST 104H with Professor White.<\/b><\/p>\n

On the surface these classes do not appear to be connected; however, this semester each professor was intentional about drawing connections between content, and subjects discussed. Discuss the ways in which these courses are tied together.<\/b><\/p>\n

I noticed that they were all connected when Professor White taught about social Darwinism relating to history. Professor Lopez also related Darwinism to his sociology class.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parallel Plan<\/span><\/p>\n

This semester we had presentations from different majors in the College of Health Sciences as well as from different majors on campus. This was to give you an idea for possible parallel majors to your current intended major.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Occupational therapy because I would also love to adapt surroundings and tasks to help people live better with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses.\u00a0 I would also like to take part in being a pharmacist because it looks interesting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
