ATA3: Racism

The main thing I learned about this assignment, was exactly how big of an issue racism is in our world. Racial slurs should never be used even as a mean to hurt someone or even entertainment. It reminded me of assignments done years ago in my ethics class. Equality is something that should be seen all around us. Racism is something I’ve personally dealt with throughout my life, being Egyptian. I went from being called the kid who rode a camel to school, to being the kid who needs to go back to his country. I know what it’s like to be disrespected due to the color of my skin. Racial slurs and stereotypes are hurtful and it shouldn’t be passed down to the next generation.

This is a picture of me in Egypt riding a horse, not a camel, to the Great Pyramids. I used this picture to express that each race and culture has its own beauty. Rather than disrespecting someone because of their race, one should get the chance to learn about their history.
