I really valued what I learned from participating in this assignment. Being engaged really impacted my view of society and how we treat each other. I did five acts of kindness to five random strangers. I had to explain the process and how each of us reacted. Most of the strangers seemed very grateful as well as surprised at how willing I was to help. I was put in a great mood after completing each of these acts. It made me realize the importance of helping each other, because one day I could be the one that needs it. I began to notice how society influences us to be selfish. The assignment asks how it would be, if it was required by use to a random act of kindness everyday. To me I believe that the world would be a much more positive place, with less violence and more people succeeding in life. I was involved in a health screening for a Wellness Program Administration class (EXSC 431W) that related to the experiences of this assignment. Me and three other students administered free blood pressure screenings for library employees. Just like this assignment, it opened my eyes to how strangers should treat each other. Each assignment opened up my eyes to ways to impact this world and makes us better people.
