There really isn’t a way to sum up the type of student I am, in one word. The more the time goes by, the more I realize just how important my education is. Every semester I find myself working harder than the semester before. I am not a perfect student but a strive to achieve the best I can be. I am not like my other colleagues due to the circumstances I have outside of school. These circumstances may make it harder for me to find the extra studying time of an average student, but I make the most out of the time I do have. I believe that I benefit the most as a visual hands-on learner. It’s easier for me to understand things that I can see in front of me. During lectures I am able to visualize what I am learning due to the professor’s examples. This makes it possible for me to have self confidence a student. I can increase my confidence as a student by not second-guessing myself during test-taking moments. This also slows my initial reaction in starting a paper or project. I must believe in myself and in my knowledge. The most important thing for me is to always progress as a student.

This photo shows how I am when I get too focused on my studying. I prefer to lay on the floor rather than sit on a desk. This picture was captured by one of my art students after my art class in church. I was taking the time to go through some slides for an upcoming exam. It depicts the type of student I am.
