I didn’t really update this throughout the year, but I do have some things to say regarding my day-to-day progress. I think at the beginning of this course I really didn’t understand how it worked, and overcomplicated things. I eventually fell into a pattern of studying at a certain time and learned how CMU worked, and what to do, so I improved. I still think I’m quite poor at navigating through it, but I’m better than I was. I think what really helped me was communication. I could memorize all the vocabulary in the world, but as soon as I spoke it into existence my brain truly remembered. In my first semester, we had quizzes on speaking to each other, and that really assisted me. This semester, I benefitted from speaking to friends and family, as well as the TalkAbroad assignments. More than anything, I was helped out by this lady.
